Medifast Weight Loss Diet Plan: Does It Work?

First off, before that question gets answered. One would have to realize that when people want to lose weight, they usually turn to two things: diet and exercise. Together these two can make miracles happen. However, more often, the “exercise” part gets taken out of the picture. Why? Because either people do not have time or they are just lazy to do it. What happens then is they try to compensate by dieting.

Here is the thing, when someone mentions the word “diet”, almost everybody comes up with a picture of a girl who is either skipping meals or not eating anything at all. Sad thing is, that is true. Most people who aim to “diet” do not eat anything at all. But what some “dieters” fail to realize is that when they do this, their body adapts to the sudden loss of calories by slowing down its metabolism. And when one’s metabolism is slow, the harder it is to lose weight. Now this is exactly where Medifast comes in.

Medifast is a weight loss program that makes you lose weight without starving yourself. It modifies the way you eat by replacing your three full meals with 5 Medifast replacement meal items and 1 “lean and green” meal. By doing so, you consume the the calories to keep your body running in full steam. In fact, more than one million American who has tried the program for just a week reported that they have successfully become 2 to 5 pounds lighter. In a month, that can easily be 8 to 20 pounds.

So, back to the question, does Medifast really work? Yes. It has thousands if not millions of review to prove their claim.

  1. Even though it makes sense, healthy dieting is not as easy when you work crazy hours and only have fast food restaurants close by. I’ve found it works best for me to prepare my meals on the weekend.

I can put together sandwiches with all the things I can freeze. In the morning I grab a ready to go meal and by lunch time it’s thawed out and fresh and tasty. And it keeps me from eating fried foods that just add more pounds.
